Taffeta Satin Embroider

Gayatri Khanna opened 3 designer show, with a line of clothes in floral prints and stuck to the drawings for most of the collection. Gayatri is known for its elegant elegant signature look, made an effort to break his evening cocktail dresses picture, but the effort was quite visible. For spring-summer 2010, the designer has spent flowy fabrics mainly satin, georgette, silk satin, linen, silk crepe and taffeta silk crafted in body flattering silhouettes. The collection had a number Jumpsuit, Bustier draped tops and mini skirts. Some pieces of a broad-shouldered gown draped silhouette featured multi-string detail and hand-painted decorations. The black and white a broad-shouldered tunic with bubble hem and embroidered flowers were good applause. This was followed by a line up of tunic dresses with cord embroidery work of the young designer Tanvi Kedia. With a Girlie feel to the collection, mostly of designs so long pleated dresses, take effect as a coat and long skirts. The designer has nicely experimented with Indian crafts and traditional handicrafts. Some of the clothes were well knitted and complex Colorful sequenced embroidery work as the neckline.

Abhishek Dutta presented his new collection – Tomorrow land. Asymmetrical hemline and uneven cuts describe the uncertainty in the future, and hence the title. Abhishek played a lot of khaki fabric to create its jackets and dresses. He had his models of masks in transparent black and was accessorized in black leggings and full-sleeved gloves. This shows witnessed a balanced presentation of menswear and women's wear. Model Pia Trivedi looking stunning in an orange minimalist dress, was the show stopper.

Charu Prasher had an interesting start to her show. A group of giggling girls in flowered dresses walked the ramp and then a Tinu Verghese among them took to the ramp and started the show. It was a prosperous, thriving and budding season for Charu Parashar and with this design is aimed at exploring the feminine and romantic side of a woman. Sunflower, palm green and red carnations reigned palette. And to match this floral theme, the models walked the ramp with flower baskets and bouquet of roses and lilies. Blooming sunflower prints presented in a variety of dresses in bright yellow color was quite suitable for the spring summer season. Seema and Swapnilhad a mixture of both Western and Indian silhouettes in their spring-summer line up. A season of Romance – the collection is inspired by the charm and beauty of spring and summer. Model Shonali Rosarioopened idea about the designer duo flaunting a white lehenga blouse with heavily embellished with metallic studs. Most of the garments that had a sequence of work with silver thread offering a rich look to the ssarees and dresses. Lisa Hayden looked royal in a black draped dress. Study: Gul Panag, actor: I loved Seema-Swapan, they had so superb collection of Saris. Both shows were at both ends of the spectrum, while Charu was great with her Boho-floral pieces. Very feminine!
