6) Raise eyebrows (and Chivalry). Custom-embossed favor boxes are incredibly smart, but rarely seen. Everything you need is an emboss and a personal disc with your monogram or personal design. Use flat-packed boxes, and run the box tops or fronts through before they are folded. Voila, an incredible upscale favor! Sure emboss involves an up-front costs, but you can literally use it for life: adapt your letterhead, your envelope flaps, your thank-you cards … you name it. Hint: Be sure to buy an emboss that strong enough to board.

7) That's a wrap! You can even wrap favor boxes in bright wrapping paper, like a gift. It is painstaking to make, but the final result is sure to awaken your guests.

Decorate the story. Embellishments can transform a Yugoslav-style favor in a Maserati in seconds! Take your tape-wrapped favor box, and add a beautiful Mulberry paper flowers: you find daisies, sunflowers and roses, all pre-wire to bridal bliss (try eBay). Or for a more romantic or formal feel, add a pewter charm in the form of e-rings, champagne flutes or hearts. You can find these in favor websites or scrapbooking stores.

9) send the message. One final thought that subtle but surprising: Line the inside lid of a dual favor with a special message to your guests. (Print these out on the label paper rock and stick.)
