Bridesmaid Gown Dress

Bridesmaids dresses
After the dedication, often times the future bride's mind is quickly planning for the big event. So many plans to be made: The date of the wedding, the location of the wedding and reception, flowers, wedding dresses, which will be part of the bridal party, bridal party what will wear and much more. While I was planning my wedding, I found one of the most, if not the hardest decision was to choose what my bridesmaids would wear.
It was amazing how comfortable the matron of honor and bridesmaids were when I asked if they would be in the bridal party. I remember much excitement, laughter and even "happy" tears when I asked them this issue. Quickly, the excitement turned to frustration and "unhappy" tears. I planned a "pick a bridesmaid dress" party. We had food, community, and lots of bridal magazines and tried many virtual bridal shops on the internet. I was so excited that "my girls" may have some quality with me and be an integral part of my decision. To my surprise, the bridal party got maidzillas (break girls gone wild). Each had her opinion and requirements with what she believed would be the best dress. Instead of a fun, entertaining time to choose the dress, the party turned into a cry fest. There were arguments about the style, color, sleeves vs. strapless long dress, and even the type of fabric. I was shocked at their reaction, we had always got along very well.
I have spent much time during the next few weeks trying to keep peace with the future bridesmaids. Deep down I knew I had to regain control over this situation. A bridesmaid intervention / dinner was scheduled for my bridesmaids. Calm and loving, I reminded the group of girls that ultimately I will decide on "the" dress. Shortly after the "intervention" I made the decision myself. I presented my choice for my bridesmaids without any complaints.
My advice to all future brides are always to be in control of your bridal party. If they love you they will respect your decisions and your wedding they will wear a dress you choose.
